Questions I don’t want to answer.

1. What’s your name? How old are you? Boy or girl? Where are you from?

The shortened version of my about: I’m Anh, 14 as of February 22, a girl that lives in a little town of New York, heading into my freshman year. Yeah, weird name for a girl (it’s Vietnamese).

I started this blog on October 18, 2010, but I didn’t really start using this blog until April. My blog is about 65% original posts, 35% reblogs. If you want to follow someone that only posts and doesn’t reblog, you’ve come to the wrong person. This is a mostly landscape/nature and film blog, with the occasional art, quote, and personal post. I always have a click-through link on my photos, almost always to the original photo on Flickr. I don’t delete credit, if that’s what you’re so stuck up about.

2. Gay/Bi/Straight?

Straight, though I don’t really see why this interests you.

3. Post a picture of yourself?

Maybe, if you ask nicely.

4. How many followers do you have/people do you follow?

If you ask me (not anonymously), I’ll tell you in your ask box. Though again, I really don’t see why you’d want to know.

5. Why did you unfollow me?

Ooh, this is never a pretty question for me to answer. Mainly, I unfollow people because

  • You haven’t updated in a while (5 days or more for me)
  • Your theme is just way messed up
  • You don’t credit your photos properly
  • I’m really not interested in what you post. Honestly. If all you do is just text posts and GIFs, then I really won’t follow you. I don’t want to be mean about this, but it’s true.

6. Promo for promo?

No. I do occasionally promote one of my followers that I really love.

7. Like this and I’ll check out your blog?

Occasionally. Of course, you could just ask. I don’t bite, and I’ll be honest. I check out every single one of my followers’ blogs.

8. How did you get the fishies?

For this, you need two codes. One of them, you can get from here: http://abowman.com/google-modules/fish. Click edit settings (it’s kind of small). This is where you can edit the amount of fish, what colors they are, the color of their food, and the color of the background. After you do that, where it says embed code, you copy that code and save it somewhere. Then, you need to copy this code:

object {

position: fixed;

bottom: 0px;

left: 0px;

z-index: -1; //keeps the object above all other elements

Go to Customize, then Custom HTML. Put the code above where it says </style>. Get the code for the fish, and copy that AFTER where it says </style>. That’s it! You can change how big the area where the fish swim is by going into the actual code for the fish, and where it says width=”300” and height=”200”, you can change the numbers. I can explain this more if you ask nicely (not anonymously).

WARNING: This may not work with some themes, and YouTube videos may now be shifted to the bottom left corner. I haven’t figured out how to fix that, but I’m sorry.

9. Where does your title come from?

It came from the song The Scientist//Coldplay.

10. Why do you talk about yourself so much?

Um, it’s my blog. I wasn’t aware that you were controlling it.

11. Where do your photos come from? And how do you get them from Flickr?

Well, all of the pictures are from Flickr, and to get to the original image, click on the notes, then click through the picture. They’re all credited, and none of them are mine, unless otherwise stated. To get the images there, go to Goodies, and there’s a link that you can add to your favorites (IE) or drag to the bookmark bar (Firefox). Then, go to an image you want to be on your blog, click on that link, and it’ll pop up in a window with options to post it :)

12. Well, what would make you follow me?

I will follow you if:

  • YOU CREDIT YOUR FREAKING PHOTOS
  • I like what you post (nature, art, and all things wanderlust)
  • Your theme is neat
  • And it’s not all text posts and GIFs that I don’t care about
  • I’m going to be honest: if you just blog pictures of girls in bikinis or shirts or outfits or fashion or summer or girly things, I will not follow you.
  • Basically, the opposite of question 5.
  • Sometimes, even if you do all those things above, I may not follow you because I don’t want my dash to be overloaded with the number of people I’m following. Just warning you.

13. How did you get a blogroll?

Create a new page, for the URL, put something like blogroll, then for Page Type, select Custom Layout, then put this code:

<center>
{block:Following}
{block:Followed}
<a href=”{FollowedURL}”>
<img src=”{FollowedPortraitURL-64}”/></a>
{/block:Followed}
{/block:Following}
</center>

That’s it :)

14. Check out my blog? Rate my blog?

  • Sure, just ask nicely (not anonymously, of course) and I’d be happy to. Of course, I don’t guarantee that I will follow you. I check out every single person who follows me, so there you go.
  • Ask nicely, and tell me whether you want me to answer privately or publicly.

15. What’s with the ___ scientist(s) discovering ____ elements?

The first number is how many people are viewing my page currently. The second number is how many clicks I’ve gotten since July 23, 2011.

16. How do I get to be the blog of the week/featured blog?

Every Friday or Saturday, I will make a post that will say “like this if you want to be the blog of the week” and you like it. If you aren’t online at the time I post it, I usually make one link post to it later so people can see it. I try to get the featured blog posted on Sunday or Monday.

17. How did you get the background images of the fish? Where did you get it?

With my theme, it’s already enabled that I can put an image in. However, if you can’t on your theme, I can try to help you.

Credit for the fish image goes to: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mrana.

The original image: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mrana/2558887858

I had to edit the photo of the fish a little bit to get them to fit on my blog.

18. Your past URLs?

themiddleboundary and more recently, conflicting.

Anything else, just ask me.
